Seqwater Renewal of Bulk Water Flow

Independent pre-tender cost and delivery validation for flow meter and pipeline upgrades within a live bulk water network.

Overview - Infravisory supported the renewal of critical bulk water infrastructure, including replacement of electromagnetic and ultrasonic flow meters and a section of large-diameter pipeline, along with associated structural, mechanical, and electrical upgrades. Works were staged within a seven-day window to maintain continuous water supply to Ipswich and Brisbane.

Challenge - The project required validation under strict operational constraints, including working on a live high-priority pipeline, achieving delivery within a tight shutdown window, managing constructability and access challenges, and identifying critical long-lead procurement items.

Infravisory Role - Engaged by GHD, Infravisory delivered a Class 1 P80 pre-tender estimate, including BOQ, construction program, constructability and risk review, and market pricing validation.

Outcome - Infravisory delivered an accurate, market-tested estimate, validated constructability within the seven-day delivery window, identified key procurement risks, and provided confidence in cost, schedule, and delivery prior to tender.
