Redcliffe STP Disinfection

Independent cost validation and constructability guidance for disinfection upgrades at an operational sewage treatment plant.

Overview - Infravisory supported upgrades at the Redcliffe STP, including demolition of the existing facility, construction of a new sodium hypochlorite building with unloading bay, installation of dosing infrastructure, storage and spill tanks, and associated mechanical and electrical works. Works were staged to maintain ongoing plant operations.

Challenge - The project required pre-tender validation under early-stage design conditions. Key challenges included maintaining operational continuity, addressing constructability and integration within an existing site, and ensuring accurate cost, risk, and procurement planning.

Infravisory Role - Engaged by GHD, Infravisory delivered a Class 3 P80 business case estimate, including BOQ, first principles estimate, basis of estimate report, and market pricing validation.

Outcome - Infravisory delivered a robust, defensible business case estimate, identified key procurement items, and provided confidence in cost, constructability, and delivery planning to support informed investment decisions.
