Rising Main & GWTP Upgrade

Independent pre-tender cost and constructability validation for rising main and pump station upgrades within an operational water treatment plant.

Overview - Infravisory supported the delivery of a 354m OD140 rising main, gravity sewer, tie-ins to existing discharge infrastructure, inspection chambers, and a new pump station integrated into the live GWTP environment.

Challenge - The project required pre-tender validation due to its interface with live infrastructure and delivery within an operational treatment plant. Key challenges included complex tie-ins, landfill and major road crossings, and sequencing works to minimise disruption while maintaining plant operations.

Infravisory Role - Engaged by GHD, Infravisory delivered a Class 1 pre-tender estimate, including BOQ, construction program, constructability and risk review, first principles estimate, basis of estimate report, and market pricing validation.

Outcome - Infravisory delivered a robust, market-tested estimate, identified critical procurement items, validated construction sequencing within operational constraints, and provided the client with confidence in cost, risk, and delivery prior to tender.
