Independent cost and delivery validation for critical switchboard and electrical upgrades at a live dam asset.

Overview - Infravisory supported the renewal of critical electrical and control infrastructure, including an 11kV/0.415kV transformer, LV and outlet works switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, UPS systems, and associated cabling. The works were staged to maintain operational integrity of this vital flood-protection and water storage asset.

Challenge - Pre-tender validation was required under evolving design conditions. Key considerations included sequencing works around live assets, complex constructability within a critical dam environment, early procurement of long-lead electrical equipment, and a tight delivery timeframe.

Infravisory Role - Infravisory delivered Class 3 and P80 business case estimates, including first-principles cost modelling, constructability review, BOQ for tender documentation, construction program, basis of estimate report, and market pricing validation.

Outcome - Infravisory delivered a robust, market-informed business case estimate, validated construction sequencing to maintain dam operations, identified critical equipment requiring early procurement, and supported Seqwater with confidence in cost, risk, and delivery planning.
